Make It Easy, Make It Meaningful

Packing Tips For Mom

Step 1

Gather the Art Together

Ask questions like: “Which ones are your favorites?” or “Do you remember drawing this one?”  Not only does this help you select the pieces that matter most, but it also turns packing into a meaningful bonding activity.

This is your moment to reflect, smile, and celebrate how far your little artist has come — every scribble tells a story, and now you’re about to preserve it forever.

Step 2

Have More Than One Artist?

If you’re a proud parent of more than one little Picasso, it’s important to keep their masterpieces separate. Sorting the artwork by child helps us design each keepsake with clarity, care, and personal touches that reflect each child’s unique journey.

Use paper clips, folders, or even elastic bands to group each child’s collection. Adding a quick label with their name on top of each group is all it takes. This extra step helps us ensure that your final artbook and mosaic frame are as personal and accurate as possible for each child.

Step 3

Sort by Age or Theme (Optional)

While not required, organizing the artwork by age, grade level, or creative themes can add a beautiful, natural flow to the final design.  It allows us to reflect the growth and changing styles in your child’s art — from their early scribbles to more detailed creations.

You might sort by school year, holiday-themed drawings, animals, or favorite colors.  Even just putting early works first and recent ones last can make a big difference in how the story of your child’s imagination is told.  It also makes reviewing the final design a more touching experience.

Step 4

Label the Piles Clearly

Once your artwork is sorted, adding labels helps us understand what belongs where. Sticky notes, small cards, or even masking tape work well. Include your child’s name, and if you'd like, a little detail like their age or a title like “Kindergarten Favourites.”

These labels allow our team to keep everything organized during scanning and layout. Plus, if you’ve sorted by theme or age, quick notes like “Age 4 – Animal Drawings” can really help us design a layout that reflects the timeline and feeling behind the collection.

Step 5

Choose Your Keepsake Package

Once you've sorted and labeled the artwork, it’s time to select the keepsake package that best suits your family.  You can choose to create a custom artbook, a mosaic-style photo frame, or both — depending on how you’d like to preserve your child’s creativity.

When you place your order through our online shop, we’ll ship you the Treasure Box, which includes everything you need to safely pack and return the artwork.  From there, we’ll take care of the rest — transforming your selections into beautiful, lasting memories you’ll cherish for years to come.

Protect Their Precious Creations

A Few Extra Things to Keep in Mind

Planning Your Mosaic Frame?

If there are specific artworks you'd love to feature together in your mosaic photo frame, you can pre-arrange them by taping or gluing smaller drawings onto a single sheet of paper. This helps us keep your favorite details together in one special layout — just be sure everything is secure and lies flat for scanning.

Handling Oversized Art

Have a drawing that’s larger than the box? No worries! You can gently fold it once or roll it loosely — we’ll carefully flatten and digitize it on our end. Just avoid sharp folds or heavy creases, if possible.

3D, Glitter, and Fragile Items

For any artwork with 3D elements (like pom-poms, googly eyes, or layered crafts), wrap them with bubble wrap for added protection. Glitter-covered pieces can be placed in a clear plastic bag to keep things neat. Please avoid sending any artwork made with glass, as it may break during shipping and damage other items.
